Megan & Zach
I knew from the beginning that I wanted our ceremony to be special and one of a kind! One that was so very “us.” And I’m so grateful to have been able to have Renee Silverman of A Lovely Ceremony officiate our wedding. She helped us curate a wedding ceremony that was just for us. (She also helped to plan and officiate my big sister’s Disney Wedding ceremony in 2022)
Telling our story in such an eloquent way… we had meetings where we structured our ceremony, where we included my Godmother in the beginning who came up and read a poem, had a “photo op” moment for our guests at the start of our “unplugged” ceremony, “Rock, Paper Scissors” for who went first for vows (Zach lost), a moment for our guests to say “We Do” because our community around us is so important, the Hands Ceremony, and of course a special surprise in there with the “I do” Taco Bell hot sauce that only my sisters and I knew about.
Our ceremony was SO beautiful. (And I’m glad I had my family on “switched” sides so my family could see me better and Zach’s vice versa!)
My mom told me that it looked like Zach and I were all by ourselves, in our own little world – so deep into each other’s eyes, which is far more than true. I can bring myself back there in an instant. Remembering Renee’s words to take in the moment and remember it well, because time flies by… I will always remember the best day of our lives, and those special moments surrounded by those we love.
